"I never would've thought I would leave the United States but I had an amazing opportunity when plans fell through for a friend and he asked if I wanted his plane ticket to go to Fanfest. From there, in 2023, I made the journey to hang out with some nerds. Money was tight and I've been trying to save for this years Fanfest hopefully, However I ran out of money midway through the trip in 2023 and it was very sketchy for a bit, however it was worth it to meet some of the coolest and chill place nerds ever and get a drink with them. Just as a story for my fanfest experience As for who I am, I am Joann, but many people know me as Cesar. I've been playing eve consistently essentially since I started playing going nearly five years now. I am a ceo, fc, and in game self proclaimed broke man. I play the game to be an fc essentially, taking great enjoyment in leading nerds to die and shoot things, hunting things and just wanting to have a good time. I've made many friends, and equally as many enemies in the game, but there is no other game out there I can confidently say that captures the magic that is Eve. There's so much more I could go on about but, If you read all the way through, you have my gratitude and best wishes. If anyone would ever want to talk in game about anything or discord as well, I am more than open to it. Best regards, Joann, Ceo and fc for gildinous vanguard and the initiative"

Hey! You guys probably know me, but my name is Schadsquatch, or better known as Schadeck in-game! Some personal stuff: I'm a Junior High teacher in Canada, I have 2 kids (6 and 3), a dog and a cat! The last 8-9 years I have worked anywhere from 2-3 jobs full time and part-time on top of streaming to support myself and my family.
I have been streaming EVE for nearly 3 years at this point and needless to say, this game has changed my life for the better. I have made incredible friendships with so many people, including dozens of people I will be meeting IRL. Starting from a meager explorer and now into a full-fledged NPSI FC/c5 corp leader, I have grown quickly from the backs of the mighty. I have learned so much about this game and I try every stream to take the knowledge I have gathered from the experts online and give it back to the community in some way, without strings attached. Living in a c5 wormhole, many people try to keep as much information/secrets as close to their heart as possible. I openly share everything I am doing inside of my wormhole and share that information with other people so they can also be successful in this hard as hell game.
As a relatively small influencer I try to give back to the IRL community as much as possible as well. The past two years, I have done several charity events to help organizations that are close to me and I am deeply passionate for. From raising money for a local animal shelter, helping a local Autism society raise money to help children with disabilities, sending money to disaster relief funds hit by hurricane Helene and to raising literal thousands of dollars for a local children's hospital, I have shown that our little community of internet spaceship degenerates does, in fact, have a giant heart. I continue to strive to be a positive impact on the EVE community and my local community at large.
I really do hope to win a trip to Iceland so I can meet the people who have supported me so much these last few years in person. I hope that with me going to Iceland I can continue to strengthen the relationships I have made and to continue being a positive influence to people!
Thanks for putting this together!

I have been a part of the group misfits alliance (now just known as misfits yacht club) since I started the game found flying around space about 1 hour into starting and have been playing with them since I started a little over 4 years ago I think. These guys have been the best company I have ever had playing a game, we eventually joined an alliance named apocalypse now and my eve career really started we have done so much in those years, from being apart of FI.RE Co in the north battling it out with Pandemic in fight regularly over 1500 people to moving down south to scalding pass, trying to make a home for ourselves with the rest of cartel, we partnered with eve rookies to help spread the knowledge of eve to newbros/vets/returners who need help to but also fostering an amazing group of people but these are just some note worthy moments the true best eve experience are the friends I found within this group and the truly unbelievable people that make eve a fantastic place. THEY and only them have really made the eve such a big part of my life being my rock when life has been hard (I don't want to get to particular). These folks are my best friends and I would love to see them all again at Evefest, times are hard and financially I would find it incredibly difficult to get there this year.

Well, I've been playing for about 12 years, the last 8 or so in and out of NC (I'm still in now). I worked with CCP to setup the 2019 World Tour stop in Toronto (Eve North). I have attended Eve Vegas the past 3 years. It has always been my dream to go to Iceland, ever since I was about 12 or 13 years old, it fascinated me. But that's a large travel expense I have not been able to afford. I was in a serious car crash in 2016 which I am still recovering from and was out of work for nearly 5 years, so that has made very large trip purchases outside my budget. I have never been outside of North America either, so this would be my first real chance to see Europe. As far as Eve goes, the best day I ever had in Eve was the Keepstar defense in X47 where I lost my Avatar titan. I took 3 rounds of Goon/Test doomsdays before they could actually kill me. I took over 24 million in damage, where a normal titan only takes 8 before it pops! Lossmail here https://zkillboard.com/kill/71605683/ the whole alliance was cheering me on to survive, but the third round after burning my emergency hull energizer was just too much and I could catch enough fax reps. O7 you mad bastard! I am very close friends with Lady Scarlet, and the word around the campfire is that Vince won't kick me because I'm entertaining (I may have made that up, but he hasn't denied it yet LOL). Anyway, this would be the chance of a lifetime for me, I'm getting older now (I'll be 55 at FF) and my opportunities for extravagant travel like this are limited. Also one of my friends from Toronto just started at CCP in Quality Assurance, so it would be great to see him there.
In the picture I uploaded from Vegas, That's me (with the bald head and braided beard) in between Ragzs and Lady Scarlet on the far left.
Thanks for your consideration!

Komi Valentine.jpeg

I'm applying because I can't afford to go to fanfest since I'm unemployed now for like 2 years and don't have a job following some struggles with depression and burnout. Before I started Eve I was an application developer.

Komi (my main character) started out as an explorer/hacker, but now she has grown to a proper businesswoman with her own industry corporation.

I think my coolest experience in Eve was the following: I anchored a lowsec control tower in Molden Heath to mine some lowsec ores and invited everybody I knew to some lowsec mining parties. Eventually it was attacked by some pirates and my diplomacy wasn't enough to stop them. The control tower at the mercy of those pirates with 2billion ISK of lowsec ore trapped inside.
I asked Ushra'Khan and Electus Matari for help but they both said "ah not sure if we can show up" so helplessly I waited for the timer...
But then suddenly everybody showed up, even some Amarr militia people who had spies and wanted to fight Ushra'Khan and after a little skirmish with the Amarr we repaired the tower while the pirates stayed scared at the Highsec gate with their Brutix Fleet.

At that point I was so happy that I said to myself I want to help other people defend their stuff and give back to those groups if they get attacked.

3 years later and now I'm a FC for DammFam, a Minmatar highsec group and I've defended a lot of highsec stations, fought the Angel Cartel and the Amarr Militia.
As a roleplayer I just can't accept that stations that house millions of people are getting blown up for profit or other sinister motivations.

I'm probably a bit in an unhealthy relationship with eve. I used it as escapism, but I guess I'm also a bit addicted to it now and basically 90% of all interactions I have with real people are online in Discord or Eve.

I'd like to go to fanfest to:
1. Meet up with some fellow eve players I've never met IRL (for example Ushra'Khan) and drink a beer or whatever they drink in iceland :D
2. Search Komi's name on the Monument
3. Meet some CCP devs
4. See Iceland and hopefully not fall into a volcano or something
5. I haven't left my country (germany) for probably 5 years so I guess a change of scenery would be cool.

It feels a bit weird applying for this but since my acccount balance is -300€ I guess this is the only way to get to fanfest.
I will share a screenshot of my POS that will one day hopefully be a fully grown minmatar NPC station. I think EVE needs more ways to express oneself as a player, not only Skins and ship names, but actually things that matter.

I think the coolest thing I did for Eve was my submission to this Liberation Day Contest: (Minmatar Propaganda) and helping the Eve Creators channel when I had the mental capacity for it to help people with their 3D Eve Art stuff

In 2008 I walked into a game store and saw a DVD case with really interesting artwork. Took it home and after 16 years and 'winning' once, I now consider EVE to be a big part of my life. I have participated in some amazing epic battles, done things on my own and with big groups and now spend a lot of my time helping others get into the game - and return from long absences. EVE is family and I hope to make this next fanfest my first one ever.

EVE has got me through really dark times in my RL life and has also been with me through the highs - such as taking a laptop and logging in from hotel rooms while on tour with my band, lighting cynos and heading on stage to play to thousands.

This year will be another milestone in that I have finally convinced my wife to spool up an account - if I win the trip, I will be using the money I saved for my own fare to bring her along with me!

Honestly, I really want to experience Reykjavik. This gives me a chance;D My EvE career started quite some time ago and I quickly found out that exploration was my game. I quickly trained for an Astero so I could traverse WH and Null, and managed to explore and hack my way into plexing my account for isk, along gambling some isk on an iskgambling-site. After exploring quite a bit of Null and WH, I found Incursions, and rolled with WTM for a while. Had a break for a quite a few years since 2017-ish, before I came back to eve in 2023 and continued my exploration of Amarrian Space for lootskies. After returning, I amassed a 40b increase in my worth from 2023 to 2024.

I joined eve 4 years ago in 2020. However, this date is certainly not when I had my first interaction with the game. I wouldn't be able to name when I first saw someone play eve but I can tell you it was very young. My father started playing the game back in '03; a full 4 years before I was born. For as long as I could remember I would come home from school and sit behind my dad on a little chair, watching him wreck space noobs and farm salty tears, I must have watched him destroy thousands of virtual space ships through my childhood. However eve would not be my game for a number of years, I started my gaming experience as a stick jockey on the PS2, then the XBox 360, 1, and finally series X. However, in 2020 my father bought me a laptop. A Chinese one, the cheapest money could buy, and sure it ran eve at 30 frames a second on the lowest graphics settings but I was absolutely hooked. My dad was a part of SLYCE at the time, so naturally I joined his corp of grizzled veterans, bumbling my way around etherium and dying far too much. But I still remember my first kill, as a fleet of 5 thorax's, we killed this solo claymore, blinged to high heaven, of course, I maintained zero transversal, didn't have my hardeners on and forgot to broadcast for reps, but in that moment I experienced the eve shakes for the first time, I was addicted. Some corp troubles in the move from SLYCE to frat saw many people to leave the game, including my father. This combined with my little Chinese laptop puffing it's last breath meant I had to leave the game for a year. For a whole year I worked at my local pizza place to save money and buy my own PC. 1500 pounds later an I'm back on eve. Struggling through a solo pilot life. I became frustrated at the amount of times I got dunked by groups. But didn't want to join a corp as I was in full time education and had no time for a second job in eve. I resolved to join NPSI fleets, specifically roams run by FUN INC. so now I roam null sec three times a week, keeping the mega corps in check and having a blast while maintaining a good eve- life balance. The biggest achievement ive had is when our prober died in fleet, I used combat probes for the first time ever, scanning down a golem and tackling it, I of course died horribly but it allowed my fleet to get the kill, this was another round of eve shakes and I ran that high for so long. Non of this could be possible without my brother though, known by many in the eve community (IGN Khanpaso01 Melgihere). he has funded my eve account for almost a year, and supports me when I don't have time to earn money because of my studies. Id love to go to fan fest and experience this games community in real life, I've watched and played eve essentially my whole life, and it's given me so many friends who I never would have connected with. 17 year old me, playing with veterans of 20 years

Dark Venture Corporation
Kitchen Sinkhole

I started this game as a hisec miner who was basically brute forced into industry to support my Minmatar character, whose newbro starter corp was operating in Amarr space. Because there were no ballistic modules or rigs on the market in the region, I was forced to learn how to build them myself, and even made a decent chunk of ISK by selling the excess in Amarr. I ended up leaving for a while after scarcity, and then came back. I went to Pochven to fix my Trig standings, and ended up getting hot dropped on in a combat site by a group of absolute psychopaths from Dark Venture Corporation. I wasn't even mad about being blown up in my Slasher. I'd been trying to get blown up so I could go back to doing other things. They offered me a spot in the corp. I said yes, and haven't looked back.

I've made more money, had more fun, and have learned so much more about the game, including mechanics I wasn't even aware of, all because of this corp. I now firmly believe that being in wormhole space is the way the game was meant to be played, given your access to basically everyone and everything should you choose to go looking for it.

After Equinox went live, I began leading Skyhook raids. I went from being a lowly miner in hisec to terrified newbro PVPer in J-space, to leading actual fleets, all within a couple of years. We have stolen billions of ISK from nullsec, and have laughed in their faces as they have dropped dreads on us in response to our kitchen sink composition of cruisers.

Just the other day in fact, I tackled a Proteus in my mining barge, and held it there long enough for backup to arrive and kill it. In J-space, I have come to learn that virtually everything, no matter what it is, needs to have a point, web, or scram. I take great inspiration from Lesican, who is one of our best pilots, and who treats his Prospect as an interceptor. I have tackled many things in ships not designed to do it. I have tackled a DST in a Prospect half full of gas so others could kill it. I have tackled sigils in my Procurer, and even got a killmark on it from the drones. There is nothing funnier than killing things in a mining ship, even moreso because people don't expect it. The game changes from, "I'm stuck here with you," to "Nah bro, you're stuck here with ME."

I'm also heavily invested in the SKINr program, and have been spinning up custom designs for my corpmates, which include original ideas from myself as well as custom requests. When the SKINr program first launched, screenshots of my work were plastered all over our internal general chat in Discord, to the point where a completely separate channel was created just for the sharing and selling of said skins. When the program first dropped, the running joke was that my designs were better than half of what you can find on the market, and I'd like to still think that is true.

I'm still relatively new to the game in terms of years played, but I have new ideas, and ask hard and intelligent questions. CCP's recent activities deserve to be questioned, and their subservience to Nullsec also deserves questioning. You want raw entertainment at Fanfest? I promise to bring it to you. A drunk Kaptin Tiberius is a comedy legend, so send me to Iceland. I also relish the opportunity to meet some of my corp-mates around the globe who I consider friends face to face.

When I first joined Eve, I was flabbergasted at the complexity of this game, and I loved it. I quickly found a corporation that made me join one of their battle and there I made my first kill almost by sheer luck alone. Then I died and unfortunately I could not join their fleet on sunday, got kicked from the Corp despite telling them I had no idea how pathfinder worked, then I bought tickets to go to Eve Fanfest in 2023, and that's exactly when I also lost my job.

I decided that I was not going to let myself beat down from the situation, I started a youtube channel and worked even more to gain knowledge and experience, joined school after 6 years of professional work and now I am almost going to get my masters degree in cybersecurity.
I have always dreamed of going to Iceland because not only I wish to go to fanfest, going there will be a way for me to test the waters and see if I really want to emigrate there and maybe even launch my business !

Black Rose - Embellishment

EVE Online became my unexpected sanctuary during a challenging period in my life. For two years, I struggled with burnout that left me feeling disconnected and drained. While searching for a way to reconnect with others, I kept hearing about this mysterious game called EVE Online - a universe I had deliberately avoided due to its reputation for complexity. But sometimes the best decisions come from taking that leap into the unknown.

What I discovered wasn't just a game, but a revelation. After experiencing toxicity in other MMORPGs that only deepened my isolation, the EVE community surprised me with their extraordinary warmth and willingness to help. Veteran players took time to answer my countless questions, offered guidance, and showed me that New Eden isn't just about spaceships - it's about the connections we forge among the stars.

As a new player, every day brings fresh discoveries that remind me why choosing EVE was one of my best decisions. The prospect of attending Fanfest in Iceland would be more than just a trip - it would be a chance to meet these incredible people who've helped transform my daily life from burnout to bright horizons. I want to thank them in person, share stories face-to-face, and experience firsthand the legendary community that makes EVE Online truly special.

I started playing back in September 2008, in November of the same year my youngest daughter was born. I would work 8-10 hours a day, come home and unwind playing with the kids. After dinner I would log in for a few hours, during this time my baby would fall asleep on my chest. My corp mates knew when she was there due to her light snoring. I did this for years.

Fast forward to 2011, and my disability from the Army and the physical stress of my job forced me to cut back on my hours. In doing so, I cut out extra expenses, so that the kids would come first. In 2013 I took a lower paying job but full time so that my kids would have a house over their heads, clothes on their back, food, medical insurance, and the things I did not have as a child.

13 years later, I raised 3 kids alone as a single father. They are the pride of my life. The price for this is my body, I have become disabled to the point I can no longer work. With the chronic pain, and no ability to work, since I wrapped my identity in my job as a provider, I have sunk into depression. After a year of therapy, I have been able to claw my way out of it.

I am free to travel, have my passport for the first time in my life. I want to see the world.

Thank you for your time.

The stress was so bad that I was actually loosing my hair. it was a long time before I found another job. In those months I started to depression nest and eventually stopped talking to anyone entirely. There was a point where I didn't even leave the house for a month. Eventually I decided I needed to make a change and start talking to someone. But wasn't ready to leave the house. So I decided to jump back into my favorite MMO. I had not played eve seriously in over 10 years. I went on reddit and found a new corp that was willing to take me on and help me re-learn the game. And I haven't looked back. I am still with that same corp. And I got my social fix. I no lifed the game for another 6 weeks before I found a new job. And I do credit eve and my corp mates for bringing me out of one of the worst depressive episodes Ive ever had.

Lethal Devotion

Not much of story for not being able to go to fanfest, besides it would eat up a significant amount of my savings.

as for my eve experience:
I've started playing end of 2022, as an escape from League of Legends, a friend had brought the game to my attention. I was introduced to wormholes within the first day of playing, and joined a beginner corp living in a C2, without even knowing that missions or nullsec we're a thing.
I've learned fast and probably skipped a few nights of sleep, while I had also just started my first actual IRL job. End of the year, my corp joined the Alliance Hole Control, with our small group of about 10 people.
I'm usually a quite organised person, which i got to prove in February and March 2023, when Hole Control's allies got attacked by the dominant russian group Parabellum. Our attempt to save them turned into a counter attack and a small war campaign spanning Wormholes and High-Sec quickly and i've supported it by maintaining the Discord for the Wormhole part of the campaign and doing my best to communicate between the groups. On the for us most important week I've probably spent another 40h next to my IRL job, running as fleet commander taking down a faction fortizar in one of PR.BLs home systems. This campaign also brought me into leadership positions within both my corp and Alliance.
I've watched the stream of the Alliance Tournament with my CEO in 2022, having come from a competetive game I took interest in this, even though i wasn't sure how to get there or what exactly was even going on on the stream. In April 23 I got my chance and crashed my Alliance's planned team, joining them as Co-Captain to represent the non-finnish part of the Alliance. I started training for this journey with about 25 thousand SP to my main's name, getting familiar with tackle and EWAR roles over the next few months. Our team ended up one game short of scratching Top 16 that year, a great achievement for a newly formed setup.

I've already joined a few, more or less, closeby meetups, the only official one being EVE Amsterdam, to meet with the friends and friends to be I've met in EVE over my short time playing. The inofficial ones include Finland, with the summer meetup of Avanto, a Weekend in Amsterdam meeting my first CEO and a redeemed spy from our corp, and a bar weekend in London, meeting my current CEO and his previous Directors. None of these private meetups would have been possible without the support I've received from my co-capsuleers and each and every one I've met through my journey so far has been wonderful people to spend time with, even though we may go and shoot each others ships a week later.

a tiny post after my first full year of playing:

Black Rabbit.

I've lived in jspace for a long time, I was on the losing side of the wormhole war against Laserhawks. My bio now reads
"Lost a war against a hawk. Turned into a rabbit"

Since joining guristas pirate a whole part of the game has been revealed to me and I've never had so much fun in a video game. My zkill has +200 kills in only a week. It's so great. I think everyone should try out all different aspects of this game, because there's so much to do and you never know where you will fit into the great world of New Eden.

Seriously Suspicious

Hi there, I'm XxJaNxX or Jan in real life.

I don't know where to begin but I guess I'll start from beginning. I'm afraid to admit but I broke the terms of service for the game when I started playing at only 9 years old, I'm really sorry CCP but I'm of age now! I used to watch my father play Eve Online practically everyday. One of the first memories from Eve Online was when my father yelled at me, which was actually before I started playing Eve. It was in 2008 when my dad (ingame "Deff") was doing Level 4 missions in highsec. He just recently acquired his brand new Raven Navy Issue. For him? It was a huge deal. I watched him in awe blitzing through Level 4 missions and every now and then he let me activate the missiles. What a thrill that was. Long story short because I know I'm gonna make this long, I remember specifically my dad went to the bathroom and let me finish the mission. I ended up killing all the NPC's and then got bored so I locked up a wreck and decided to shoot it. All of the sudden massive CONCORD fleet showed up and blew up the Raven Navy Issue. I immediately started crying and dad came rushing to the laptop, getting angry and yelling. Safe to say, key memory for me.

Fast forward to 2009 when I started my character. My dad was a Director in one of the oldest Eve Corporations, Eve Defence Force. Of course I joined and he helped me skill up into ships quickly. I never had to rat or mine for ISK, he always helped me out with it. So all I did was PVP, I took out ships I had skills to fly for and went into blazing fire. I died and cried to my dad for a new one. This went on and on. Of course I also did some stupid stuff. I got kicked from the corp first time because I shot a blue, and because of that I ended up joining another corp temporarily until my dad convinced the directors to allow me to return. Did I forget to mention I have an older brother? Yeah, and he plays Eve too. (ingame "Bigy"). He dared me to shoot jump bridges everytime before I jumped then and after it. For those unaware as soon as a structure got damage taken back then, evemail was sent out instantly. This resulted in over 200+ evemails sent to holding corporations in Fatal Ascension at the time. And yes, you guessed it. I got kicked again and the story repeated. I joined a random corp again, constantly pvping and shooting anyone I came across until yet again my dad convinced the CEO (shoutout John McCreedy) to let me join back. My brother wasn't fan of nullsec life at the time so he wondered on his own, around wormholes and what not. One of key moments was when I told my brother where exactly our corpmates are crabbing, giving my brother bookmark for direct warpin as well. My brother and his IRL schoolmates came in quick pvp ships and blew up some of our corp members. That was awesome.

Start of Shadow Legion X. My brother (Bigy) started the corp on his own when myself and dad were still in EDF. He did his own thing and joined a renter alliance (Gatekeepers Universe) where he and his IRL Schoolmates became a PVP powerhouse (5-10 people by the way). It was bad. Eventually Deff made the condition he will join only IF Bigy steps down from CEO and lets our dad run the corp. Obviously you figure he'd let him and that was the real start of SLX for us. We stayed in nullsec for a good while and not many stories to tell, went from the renter alliance to WHY so Seri0US which was the first major nullsec alliance for our corp. Our numbers grew and we were your standard corp. From WHYSO we went to Tribal Band, to Li3 Federation where at the age of 13 I started FCing. We stayed with each alliance until the very end, loyal corp you can call. After Li3 disbanded it merged into The Bastion, an Imperium alliance (as was Li3). That's where I started my real career, FCing more and more. I was a real squeaker at the time but for some reason people loved my fleets, on average I always got 30-50 people in my fleets and we went roaming. Mind you I got the corp kicked 3 times from the alliance for of course, nothing else but fucking up. Shooting blues and... scamming a blue unintentionally at the time. I was still a kid at 13-14 years old okay? Give me a break.

In mid 2016 when the first World War Bee happened, I stepped up in the coalition, running up to 250 man fleets, mostly ceptors though but it was real fun. During that time FCON (after C02) decided to leave Imperium and go on their own. Because various corps followed them, so did we. We stuck with FCON until the last bitter end, living in Immensea and Tenerifis with FCON leading the Phoenix Federation Coalition. There I grew to a full FC, even getting paid for it! And since I mentioned getting paid, did I forget to say I loved to gamble? When EOH Poker was at it's peak, me, dad and brother would play EOH Poker all the time. And of course when Somer Blink came alive, I played lots of raffles. On one sudden afternoon when I finished school I finally checked my phone. Phone was BLITZING with messages. Jan! Jan! Jan! Jan! YOU WON 50 BILLION ISK!! OH MY GOD! JAN! - - - pause - - - We will put the 50 bil ISK towards building my Leviathan and I will keep PLEXing your accounts. Yes it was my dad. Anyway, with that ISK my dad was able to build his first titan and... he let me keep 15 billion ISK. I blew all the ISK away on blingy ships (primarily Officer Vindicator that I lost in Tama 5 minutes later). Fun stories, where was I? FCON. The alliance got wrecked by Trimuvirate during the Immensea war and due to leadership being inactive, the alliance collapsed. I can't believe I almost forgot to mention this, the best moment and memory in FCON. One a casual day, PL blops hunters were spotted in intel. I knew they dropped like 20-30 black opses, so idea was simple. Go krab with carrier, have cyno ready and a fleet ready on a titan. Luckily my dad had a Leviathan! I have 100 people formed up in a Ferox fleet on titan, cyno ready, carrier ready. I was praying for hunter to find my carrier and OH-.. they did. Proteus decloacks, lights cyno. More than 30 black opses from PL drop on me. I decloacked an Arazu to tackle 5-6 blopses and lit a cyno. DAD, DAD OPEN BRIDGE ON TITAN! --- Silence. --- Silence. Oh fuck. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. Yeah, he jumped the titan instead of bridging. He starts screaming loudly, I quickly tell backup FC to take over and burn fleet. I jump from my chair, sprint to the living room and look at my dad. He was shaking and staring at screen, like really really shaking. He couldn't move. I quickly told him to move as I got on his laptop, aligned titan out and waited for bubble to go down. Quickly warped to a safespot whilst talking on comms, luckily an alliance member in system had a POS in system. Quickly typing in POS password and inviting member to fleet, I warped to him and landed in the POS (This all took 10 mintues) whilst being chased and tackled by PL Blops. Right after the PL FC opens convo with the titan pilot, saying (You're lucky we didn't have titan bridge to get a dictor in, otherwise you'd be dead). I finally exhaled sigh of relief, stood up and looked at dad. He's leaning out the window and chain smoking on his 3rd cigarette. I pat him on the back and tell him "Dad it's okay, it's saved".

Anyway, FCON collapsed as I said. Let's move on. Due to the good relations we still had with The Bastion and specifically Carneros at the time, my dad secured us a spot back in the Bastion. They were situated well with the Imperium and had their own space next to INIT. We moved back and I was reinstated to a full Fleet Commander. There I did a lot of fleets, both coalition and alliance wide. Dropped my first dreads, supers, involved in the biggest battles in eve (such as when I flew my dad's Leviathan in X47L and got primaried. Luckily I survived in 30% shield left). Space Violence sig in GOONS was great at the time and I FC'd a lot, from killing carriers, dreads to fleet fights. Unfortunately Bastion didn't pay me as an FC so I crossed over to Kendarr (lead guy in SV) corp, Zebra Corp to collect juicy goons paychecks. I got paid from down at 5 bil up to 15 billion ISK per month for running 30-50 fleets every month. It was best times I've had. After a year I sadly got kicked because I had all my alts still in SLX, our real corp and they weren't a fan of it. Fuck knows why. Long story short, WWB2 came. Fountain got steamrolled, we got forced into Delve. Game got really boring and we joined a goon WH sig to continue making money. This was awesome, being in a C4 WH with C3/C5 statics. ISK for everyone. Me and my brother both went there and after looooong time of convincing we convinced Deff to join us. We all got taste of wormholes, the risk and excitement. Also small scale PVP, so much more fun?

Wormholes. We ended up leaving Imperium to go live on our own. We acquired our own C4 with C3/C5 statics along with my brother and we anchored an astrahaus. This was in 2020. I was in an Orthrus and my brother in an Oracle. We waited for the citadel to anchor and the very next day, group of 15 bombers tried to blow it up. We successfully defended it and killed the bombers, securing our home. Over the span of the year we joined a WH alliance (Beyond the Breach) to have some protection and joint fleets for pew pew. ISK was great, PVP was fun. But we craved more, a lot more. At this time we decided to move into a C2 with nullsec static. Leaving BOB we started our own corporation (Seriously Suspicious) along with INOU, Inevitable Outcome who was a close ally. We got the taste of a content hole, C5 static for WH brawls and nullsec static for blopsing, brawls, solo pvp, nano roams and what not. To this day we still live in the same wormhole and I could go on to tell so many more stories which I am more than willing to, should anyone be interested, but I'll run them down short. We almost got evicted by Parabellum who brought 200 man Paladin fleet (read https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/w3fjta/wh_fortizar_final_timer_fcs_aar_200b_killed/). After this INOU parted with us to go live in a C5 whilst remaining allies. At this point we were also allied with SYNDE for protection. When SYNDE and HAWKS war started, roughly a week into the war we decided to flip sides and join HAWKS, helping out where we could and winning the war. At the current time of writing this, we are at the best state we have ever been ingame, owning several C5 and C6 wormholes for crabbing, daily pvp content from blackopsing to kill capitals/supers, brawling in C5 statics with Heavy Armor battleships, ganking incursion runners, nano roams, ESS fights and so much more. We even started our own newbro corporation for people interested in wormholes! Safe to say we're glad to be where we are and playing together with my dad and brother has been more than amazing. However I've never been to Fanfest yet, nor has my brother or dad. So if I get to beat them before they do at going to fanfest (despite brother playing for 17 years, dad for 20 years) would be really, really cool. And as always, hope you enjoyed the read! Happy to answer any questions or speak more on my story as I probably missed sooooooo much.

Minmatar Fleet Alliance

I fell into EVE during the outbreak of COVID19 as an escape from my IRL job as a pathologist; not a fun workplace at the time. After about 9 months of highsec missions and such, I put it down for a short break before returning to try out Faction Warfare. Pretty quickly I started flying with the folks in FL33T and realised how amazing the communities in this game are. With the goals of fostering the community we have, I became a recruiter, and now after a few years in I'm the HR Director/ Diplo for our Alliance. I even had the chance to fly in our AT team this year for the feeder tournament!
The most beautiful thing about this game is how it can bring people together from all over the world to create stories together, and the chance to join my alliance mates at the fest is one I can't pass up! I was originally planning to go, however flights from Australia are far to expensive; an opportunity like this would put a serious dent in that number and make it possible.

So this will probably be my only chance ever to go to Fanfest even though its still a long shot.

Been trying to save up for it myself but since my dad died of cancer 3 years ago most of those savings end up going to support my mom.

Im sure there is someone out there more deserving so i dont expect to be the Lucky chosen but figured id give it a shot.

Federation Front Line Report
Federation Front Line

Eve is real and nothing makes that statement more true then Fanfest!

I am Frozen Fallout, CEO and founder of the Federation Front Line Report, a mercenary news organization fighting alongside the mighty Gallente Federation on the frontlines against the Caldari menace. By broadcasting our battles live on Twitch and through our weekly podcast on Faction Warfare, we hope to ignite your passion for combat, inspire valor, and tell the tales of the capsuleers who make New Eden their home!

The Saga of Frozen Fallout

My story starts when my friends introduced me to my first MMORPG around 2002, Ultima Online, a game that helped prepare me for the open-world PvP sandbox that EVE Online would later provide. We started exploring other MMORPGs around this time, looking into ones that were in beta, hoping to get in on the ground floor of a game and build something cool together. We tried Earth and Beyond, Neocron, and many others, but none really stuck. In early 2003, we all fumbled around in awe of the graphics and concept of EVE Online, but after a few hours, we ultimately stopped playing, as the new player experience was nearly nonexistent.

Over the years, we continued to hear tales of this crazy universe, and in 2005, we gave the game another shot. I was working a lot during my friends’ playtimes, so I didn’t get hooked until late 2006 when I created Frozen Fallout.

Haine is Home (2006)

Living out of the lowsec pocket of Haine, my friends had created a corporation called Mecha Enterprise Group (METAG). There were only around five of us at the time, and we didn’t have much more than a POS in the system, but we had found a home for ourselves in this cold, dark universe. During this time, I fought alongside my friends against pirates, ran missions, and tasted the thrill of space combat. However, I had heard tales of capsuleers building mighty empires in lawless space and fighting epic wars over the riches of zero point zero. I convinced my friends to join a corporation that belonged to the Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate (IAC), and we moved into Catch to find our new home. We mostly lived out of FAT-6P, ratting, drinking, and learning the ways of drunken fleet combat. It was like moving from a small rundown town to a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas, where we were now under the employ of the gang running the city. We partied, raided, and ratted, and all was good.

The Great War (2007-2008)

In the Great War, IAC joined forces with the RedSwarm Federation, going head-to-head against Band of Brothers (BoB) and McFix. It was a time of great heroism and struggle, with countless battles in the regions of Querious and Catch. As capsuleers, we stood shoulder-to-shoulder, defending our homes and carving our names into the history of New Eden. However, in the middle of the war, the corporation I had convinced my friends to join left IAC, and we soon were drawn back to my old home.

Living in Outer Ring (Early 2008)

In early 2008, my friends and I moved back to Haine and reopened METAG. Not long after, we joined the PURGE as a member corporation and moved to Outer Ring with dreams of taking space of our own in zero point zero. Though this was short-lived, it was a great learning experience. For reasons I can’t exactly remember, the alliance disbanded not long after we joined.

The Empyrean Age (Mid-2008)

When the Empyrean Age expansion arrived, I saw an opportunity for METAG to become battle-hardened with the release of Faction Warfare. We proudly joined the Federation, beginning our journey to liberate and defend our space from Caldari aggression. However, we found many of the mechanics needed massive improvements to make life in Faction Warfare manageable for a small corp. With interest waning, we started to look into moving back out to zero point zero.

Mostly Harmless (Late 2008-2010)

We joined a corp belonging to Mostly Harmless in the North, enjoying the spoils of ratting and exploring the newly released wormhole space. I have fond memories of looting from POSs that had run out of fuel, as many owners would lose their way back to their wormhole when this area of space was first revealed. This was a relaxing era in my EVE history, and I have good memories of Mostly Harmless and the friends we all made there. However, I desired to return to Faction Warfare and lead a corp dedicated to being the Gallente’s junkyard dogs.

The Call to Faction Warfare & Rise of XMETA (2010-2013)

Returning to Gallente space, I partnered with my friend Coder Fasteele. While he managed the industrial might of METAG, I founded Mecha Enterprises Fleet [XMETA] to bring fire and fury to our enemies.

XMETA joined Villore Accords and unleashed devastation on the Caldari in Black Rise. We were relentless, and our pride as Gallente warriors knew no bounds. Fighting alongside brave comrades to secure our freedom provided me with valuable insight into fleet commanding. If you have the heart of a Gallente, then you understand: to fight for freedom is to fight for glory. We were a hardened group of bloodthirsty killers. I have fond memories of leading XMETA and still wonder what could have been.

The Goonswarm Party Era (2013-2020)

By 2013, I joined Goonswarm just after the end of the Fountain War, an epic story of once-allies Test and Goons becoming bitter enemies. Having attended many real-life parties that were hosted by Goons, I had made a number of friends who convinced me to join after many a beer. It was hard to leave XMETA, but my heart was no longer in running the corporation, and I felt it was best to hand the reins to someone who could continue the fight for freedom with renewed passion. In the end, I think this was the right choice, as XMETA went on to create an alliance called FEDUP and even held space in 0.0 for a short time.

Fighting for Goons, I learned what it meant to be part of a powerhouse alliance, mobilizing fleets, and experiencing large-scale warfare. Witnessing firsthand how alliances like Goonswarm could create content and inspire loyalty deepened my understanding of nullsec conflicts.

I partied with Goons for the next seven years, taking a few short breaks, the longest being in 2019 when I spent a year pirating the high seas of the Black Rise Region. I had found a good home in Goons and stayed a line member throughout my tenure. I fought on the frontlines of our wars, ratted in my super carrier, and went to a ton of parties. But I found myself desiring a return to Faction Warfare, and I wanted to make something of my own again in EVE.

During this time, I became an avid reader of the EVE media and started to dabble in streaming. I had the idea that I could create a corporation and stream our activities for all to see. I wanted to create a corporation that focused on activities that needed less op-sec and had little at stake in case of stream snipers. Faction Warfare seemed to be the perfect fit for this new corporation. I also had the desire to create a podcast called the Federation Front Line Report that would tell the news of Faction Warfare from a Gallente point of view. No matter where I roamed, my heart remained with the Gallente. So, in 2020, I returned to my old home of Haine to prepare for my next journey in EVE.

Federation Front Line Report (2020-2023)

In October 2020, I returned to Black Rise and rejoined the Gallente militia, launching the Federation Front Line Report Podcast to spread our message of freedom, strength, and resilience. With my co-hosts Night Flyer and Samson, we rallied the militia, interviewed pod pilots, documented our battles, and brought the truth of Faction Warfare to all of New Eden. We would go on to create the Federation Front Line Report (FF-LR) corporation and Federation Front Line (FED-F) alliance. However, after having a few beers with Alek, the leader of the mercenary organization called Noir, he convinced me that joining forces with him would be the best move. Their plan was to use Faction Warfare as an activity to sustain them while they were between contracts and had sided with the Gallente.

Mercenaries, Havoc, and the Gallente Cause (2023-Present)

In 2023, we joined The Network, run by Noir, a mercenary corp with a long history of excellence. It was an honor to work with such professionals, but even among mercenaries, my heart beat for the Federation. After the release of Havoc, The Network shifted loyalties and joined the Guristas Pirates. However, my loyalty never wavered. My oath to the Gallente was stronger than any contract.

So we rejoined the Federation Front Line to continue the fight, honoring our Federation and ensuring that our ideals remain a guiding beacon for all capsuleers who believe in liberty, equality, and justice.

"A Journey from Solitude to Family: My EVE Online Story"

There was a time when I felt lost in the vast emptiness of space. I had no real purpose in my gaming life, just drifting through various online worlds with no lasting connection. I missed the thrill of exploration, the vastness of sci-fi universes, and the sense of achievement that comes with overcoming challenges. Then, one day, I found EVE Online.

At first, it was just me, mining in highsec, running missions, and thinking that I was making a fortune. I was pulling in 3-8 million ISK a day and thought, "I'm rich!" I was blissfully ignorant of what the universe truly had in store for me. That was, until the fateful day I lost my 40 million ISK Punisher ship.

I was in lowsec, buying some cheap ammo when I was ambushed by another player. That loss hit me hard—it wasn’t just the ISK; it was the feeling of being helpless in a game that I thought I had started to understand. I was angry, frustrated, and at a crossroads. But instead of quitting, I took it as a lesson. I needed to adapt, to understand the deeper mechanics of EVE.

I realized that highsec level 2 missions weren’t going to make me rich. So, I ventured into more dangerous waters, trying my hand at ESS robbing. But as fate would have it, I lost a 20 million ISK Stabber in the first attempt. At this point, I was more than just mad—I was confused. I needed answers. So, I did something I had never done before in EVE: I reached out to the player who had destroyed my stabber.

To my surprise, the player responded kindly. He explained that he was simply protecting his ratting ISK. Through our conversation, he suggested I try my hand at Nullsec. I took his advice and soon found myself in a new world, a world where the stakes were higher, but the rewards were greater.

And that's when everything changed. By chance, I met Stearnmi, a fellow player who took me under his wing. He taught me how to make real ISK through ratting and industry, and even suggested I start producing ice blocks. Every time I was stuck, he was there with a helping hand, guiding me through my trials. Thanks to him, I began to see EVE not just as a game, but as a universe of endless possibilities.

But it didn’t stop there. I found a corp that felt like home. A family, more than just a group of players. 0.0 MD became my refuge, and the members, my support network. Insufficient taught me the art of small gang fights and brought me along on thrilling raids. Gabber helped me navigate the complexities of planetary interaction, and I still reach out to him whenever I hit a roadblock.

Mina, my favorite, always provides boosts when I need them, making sure I’m ready for whatever comes next. And Ender, the relentless moon eater, never hesitates to invite me to his fleets. Then there's JJ, who buys all my gas—no matter how much I have. And the heart of it all: our CEO, directors, and parliament members, who have been nothing but grounded, patient, and incredibly supportive. They’ve taught me what it means to be part of something bigger than myself.

The bond we share is more than just gameplay; it’s a sense of belonging, of working together, of growing as a community. They’ve shaped my EVE experience into something I could never have imagined. The friendship, the guidance, the laughter—it’s all real.

Now, there's an opportunity I can't pass up: EVE Fanfest. It’s a chance for me to meet the people who have made my journey in EVE so meaningful, to thank them in person for everything they’ve done. But there’s one obstacle—I’m from India, and the cost of the trip would be equivalent to two years of my salary.

So, I’m hoping, with all my heart, that this giveaway will give me the chance to travel to and finally meet my EVE family. To look them in the eye and tell them how much they’ve changed my life. This isn’t just a game to me anymore—it’s a community, a family, and I want to express my gratitude in the only way I can: by being there, with them, in person.

Thank you for considering my story.

Goonswarm Federation

A player since 2009, I have seen a lot, I work hard everyday and regardless i miss very few days of Eve. Two moments that made me love the my alliance and this game. Based for a period near ROIR. I had the miss fortune upon returning from fleet to fall asleep at the keyboard with my ishtar drifing off in space. To my surprise when logging back in on i was on tethe. Talking in comms were you the guy that drifted off tether lastnight? yeah i think i was i feel asleep. He then let me know he had bumped me back in to tether range before downtime. His name was Asher Elias.

On another occassion the big battle in Roir where darkness lost 5 titans, was one of the most awesome things i had done at that point in the game. Listening intently ignoring the wife locking primaries, you cant beat the adrenaline and i came out alive.

Played EVE for about 7-8 years consequentially. Started in 2012 in high sec and later moving to null sec in early late 2012. Have been apart of Black Legion, Snuffed Out, Pandemic Legion and SkillU. Have known many friends over in the EU region and would love to meet them at Fanfest but at the moment jobs in my current are a bit hard to come by at the moment despite looking and it would be lovely to win this trip :)

I actually hope that my story gets select for the "Fan Presentation" from CCP Games as my presentation would be on how I play the game; well, at least one character... This would just be a way to get one step closer to the upcoming FanFest.

Why i would like to go to Iceland?

I started playing eve online in 2005 and been around since. I made friends and seen the game evolve to what it is. I made firends for life in the game.
And i love to help out others in the game teaching them how to do diffrent things. But its sometimes hard to teach something without showing.

So in November 2023 i was talked into start streaming Eve by a friend of mine that managed to get my wife on hes side. So i started streaming ways to make isk in High sec, and that went really well people appriciated what i had to show and many start doing what i showed them and had fun with it.

But starting streaming was more than just that. For me personally it was to challange myself, Since i was kid i have had social anxiety, due to what happened to me growing up. And today its a problem that is def holding me back to do a lot of things. Like meeting "unkown" people that have become friends in Eve. Streaming have helped a lot and is making me better. So thats the real reason why i keep streaming.

But its maybe time to push myself a little harder. And actually go meet the people behind the nicknames face to face. After 19 years in the game and little over 1 year of streaming, I have finally worked up enough courage to maybe go meet some of the people behind those nicknames that have helped me so much battleling my own personal battles and making me better. An eve meetup is where many of them will be. so cant think of a bette place to be able to meet that many in same place. Give them a hug and take a drink isnt enough to thank all the nice people in the EVE community, but its a start. And maybe it will make me see its not that dangerous as i think it is. And that i can go to more of the meetups in the future getting to know more players, and be a more active part of the great eve community.

The people of New Eden (aka the EvE Community) has helped me through some of my darkest times. When I first found out my spinal problems were degenerative and would never get better, when I lost my dad to cancer and many more. I've wanted to go to an EvE event for over a decade but didn't have the physical capability until recently thanks to physical and mental therapy and my awesome Mobility Scooter I named Baby Blue, aka my Handibean Rocket Ship! I want to meet and thank as many people from New Eden as possible, to share stories, give out hugs and stickers and laughs. The two best stories I have are how when I was severely depressed, my corpmates noticed, and banded together and bought me the oen skin I wanted more then any other, as a result I now have the Prettiest Rorqual in all New Eden (image below) sneaky bastards made me cry on coms damn it! The 2nd story is even better, because people from all over New Eden inclduing goons and friends, despite the big war against Delve going on at the time, came to Horde staging to put on a fireworks show for my Dad who was at home on hospice. I still have the footage of it on Youtube, though sadly the sound file was corrupted. It blew my Mom, Dad and little brother away to see how my space friends (and enemies) from all around the world, came together to do something special for "Thelzar's Dad". 4th of July was always his favorite and they made it happen in November. I will always treasure this community above and beyond any other I've ever been a part of. Fly Fun, b4r when you need it and always remember.. EWAR = love and love is evol!

I started playing all the way back in the beginning with most of my friends. We did all the things together for many years. But then slowly most of my friends stopped playing and finally I also decided to take a break. No one to play with and it felt like I needed to do other things.

Several years passed and I would still hear about fun stories from the world of Eve. I was slowly getting drawn back into the universe that I had so many unique and exciting experiences in, and never really had anywhere else in gaming. Still remember physically shaking for 15 minutes after my first PvP experience!

And then I decided to log in and take a look! So much had happened since last time, and oh my the nostalgia when digging into all my stuff.

But the biggest thing that changed everything? I accidentally tuned in to a live stream with Amiomia. It was really fun to follow a new player, learning the ropes, and talking with lots of other new and old players, sharing all the fun old stories. Being able to join fleets again, and hanging out, doing things together. Now that is where the fun of Eve really is.

I was never able to go to Eve Fanfest, earlier in life even though it sounded so fun and I wanted to. But to go NOW and meet all the people I have actually gotten to know the last year, would be so amazing!

I feel like it’s been more than 20 years in the making, that I would finally get to visit Iceland, the home of Eve!!!

PS: I managed to find a screen shots I took in Eve all the way back in 2006 of one of our first snowball fights, check the upload! :)

I've been playing solo for years. Recently my SKINR design and sales business really took off, and I currently have over 170 matte black SKINs listed for different ships. Still expanding the DodSKN™ Covert Dark SKIN line. Not much combat experience.

Everyone lies and twist the truth here. Wouldn't;'t an AMA be better for the winner?
I am restoring a small deepwater sailboat which I got for a thousand so there goes the "Iceland" budget.
I can sail to fanfest and Iceland in the next few years before I turn too old to do so. No, not rich, I live in Scotland so cheap boats are plenty here. Anyway I always wanted to go to fanfest and meet people that I have played the game with over the years. Too many have pass away over the last two decades, my partner always has always wanted to visit Iceland so it was the most logical and economical choice to do three things at once, Sail, Visit Iceland and go to Fanfest.
